Enable/Disable network interface in VM

Hi, how can I disconnect (enable/disable) a network interface from the VME GUI? This is a simple task in VMware, for example, but I can't seem to find the option in the VME interface. Thanks a lot!

Re: Enable/Disable network interface in VM

Hello @hlago

For VMware VMs, you can disconnect or reconnect a network interface directly from the vSphere (vCenter or ESXi) GUI:

Steps in vSphere Web Client:

Log in to vCenter or ESXi host.
Select the VM you want to modify.
Click Actions → Edit Settings.
In the Virtual Hardware section, find the Network adapter you want to manage.
Use the Connected checkbox:

Uncheck → disconnect the NIC.
Check → reconnect the NIC.

Click OK to apply changes.
If you feel this was helpful, please click the KUDOS thumb below. Also consider marking this as an "Accepted Solution", if the post has helped to solve your issue.

Thank you,
Ashwini

Re: Enable/Disable network interface in VM

I'm referring to performing this task in VME. However, I believe it cannot be done through the GUI. It would be great if this option were incorporated in future versions.
