HPE VM Essentials always Upload ISO

every time I attach an ISO from my Library to a VM’s CD-ROM, VME copies the entire ISO to the VM’s datastore – even though the Library is an NFS share mounted on all HVM hosts in the cluster.
Since all hosts already have direct access to the NFS share, I would expect VME to reference the ISO in-place instead of copying it every time.
Is this a known limitation, or is there a setting to avoid this behavior? (We are Running VME V 8.1)
