HPE VME 8.0.10 - GFS2 space issues

Good morning, I have a cluster with three physical nodes, with VME 8.0.10, and two datastores connected via FC and formatted GFS2, one on a 3Par, and one on a Netapp, I find a misalignment between the occupied disk space that I see on the VME GUI console (which is the same as what I see with the df command on the nodes) with the actual occupation of the datastore.

but not corresponding to the actual occupation of the two datastores:

I ran the following tests:
- manually unmounted and mounted the two datastore mountpoints on a node that had no VMs running on it.
- rebooted the node.
- the situation has been like this for several days, so it's not a refresh issue.

I have an NFR license, and this is a test cluster. We'd like to conduct demo sessions with some of our customers, in collaboration with local HPE representatives. However, this issue has already caused a Datastore to fill up on two occasions, resulting in the suspension of the VMs on that DS, including the management VM.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Yes, I know the difference between the output of the du command and the df command.

The problem is that the VME GUI provides the same results as the df command, and it's incorrect. In the posted example, it's even quite a bit incorrect, and I'm certain of this because I specifically created this situation to see if the GUI's output was correct.

In this specific case, I have a nearly full datastore, but the GUI only shows it as about 50% full.

This should be reported and corrected, as there's a serious risk of completely filling the datastores without realizing it (it's happened to me twice already).
