I am investigating the steps for building a single-host HPE Morpheus VM Essentials deployment for testing purposes. The configuration is a single host with no external storage.
I don't need support, and this is for testing purposes.
If possible, I would like to know the deployment steps. The steps I'm currently considering are as follows. What do you think?
1. Host deployment
2. Deploying and initializing the manager
3. Creating a group, cloud, and HVM cluster via the WebUI
Since this is a single-host deployment, I understand that only one host needs to be configured when creating an HVM cluster. Is this possible?
*Please excuse any confusion as this is a machine translation.

Re: HVM Single-Host Deployment
Hello YA1007,
You can find complete information on HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software, setup guide for installing VM Essentials manager and HVM cluster at the following link :
To create a HVM cluster you need three nested virtual machines, a single physical host (non-HCI only), or a single nested virtual machine (non-HCI only) though performance may be reduced. With just one host it won’t be possible to migrate workloads between hosts or take advantage of automatic failover.

Re: HVM Single-Host Deployment
Thank you for your reply.
I have built clusters with three and two hosts before, but never with one host.
If I want to build a cluster with one host, does that mean I only need to specify one host when creating the cluster?

SolutionYou are correct.
At VME Manager GUI, you need to create Group, cloud & cluster (here it will be single node)
