Remove a node from VME cluster

I am running a (3) node evaluation mode cluster. Everything is running as expected but I would like to remove each node (one at a time) and rebuild it. Long story short, I installed 8.0.8 full install which uses a "Minimal" version of Ubuntu. One of the problems with the minimal build is the lack of OS controled power capabilities. My fans are running near full speed and making too much noise for the environment. I "un-minimalized" the build but that did not completely fix the issue. I have a 4th node that's in another test cluster with a full OS build and it's running quieter. All four nodes are using the same BIOS settings, so my hope is by rebuilding with a fresh full OS build the three node cluster will be better managed.

How can I remove a node from the cluster?

Thanks!

Re: Remove a node from VME cluster

You select your host under "Infrastructure-Compute" and you delete the host.
Note that you need at least 3 nodes in the cluster if you use GFS2 filesystem as Datastore.

You add a node via "Infastructure-Clusters".  Open your cluster and you can add a hypervisor via the "Actions" button.
Make sure that the network config of the new node is the same as the existing ones (bonds, bridges,...)
I normally do a "sudo netplan get" on an existing node and make sure the new node has the same config .

Re: Remove a node from VME cluster

Yes I am running GFS2 and yes it's still the eval license.  So, it looks like I am in a Catch-22 until we purchase the real licesnes.  Thanks!
