Alletra 6050 subscription required?

Does anyone know how HPE decide how many R7N52AAE you required for an Alletra 6050?

online i found something susggesting the amount of licenses you required depends on following i found online

There are three factors which impact the quantity of the mandatory subscription R7N52AAE for the Alletra 6000 and 9000 arrays, the array type, drive type and the term of the subscription. 

 The subscription quantity is calculated based on these three factors, increasing in line with term length, array capacity and performance and drive quantity and capacity. NICs/HBAs and support level do not affect the subscription quantities.  The quantity for the Alletra 5000 is one per array.

I would like to see this calucation if possible?

The min quantity for the Alletra 6050 is one per array. its based on the arrays configuration and term of subscription being requested

What more specifically in the arrays configuration determines the minimum number of these licesnses needed?  The line item on my quote is 350, and the cost is 1/3 of the quote.  We do not require any of the features its suppoed to give us and wold be a waste of our limited budget.  As of this time, this line item has priced HPE out of the game for us.  We are looking at other storage options.
