HF-20 Fw 5.2.1.800 how to admit a Used PD?

hello team!

customer has this old HF20 running on firmware 5.2.1.800. It is out of support with both HPE and us, the partner channel.

A disk failed and the customer went on its own and bought a used disk. That disk contains the metadata from the original array.

So, what I'm trying to do is to find the CLI commands to clear that metadata and to be able to admit it on this array.

Any ideas?

Hi,

There is no need to clear meta data. Once the disk is inserted to other array, data/metadata should start rebuilding automatically.

we ended up issuing the command with the --force switch and it worked.
