Does the display of the hard drive status as' spare 'indicate that this hard drive is a hot spare?

SolutionHi cc16
The answer is "No." This indicates that an incorrect part has been installed, and in the ideal case, it should show as in use "not spare" even if no spare part is available.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh

Re: nimble hf20 disk spare
Correct. Adding to it, nimble/alletra 5k-6k arrays does not have the concept of dedicated spare drive.

Re: nimble hf20 disk spare
Okay, thank you very much for your answer. Also, I would like to inquire if nimble has the function of automatically reconfiguring and synchronizing storage pools even when the hard drive is being refactored and unplugged, and then plugged back in? Because I noticed that the PowerPoint presentation mentioned this feature.

Re: nimble hf20 disk spare
That is correct. Nimble arrays have only one pool and it automatically takes care of rebuilding from other RAID members up on replacement/unplug-plug back of disks.
