Hi everyone,
I have been tasked with restoring VMs that have been replicated to my DR array but I am getting an error that states "Unable to create clone" Unable to find a valid host system. Make sure the replicated volumes are in a VVOL folder that is mounted as a datastore in this vCenter and accessible.
I don't have a vvol datastore in my DR cluster currently. Do I need to create a vvol datastore and clone the VMs to that datastore?
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionHi TheeLaz
It Looks like vVol replication is configured incorrectly. Please check downstream has a folder with the same name as upstream.
I hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh.

Re: Unable to clone replicated VM from vvol datastore
Hi Mahesh,
Thank you for your feedback. I had a call with Nimble support and they advised the same and also advised that I need to check a box that says " Use the same pool and folders as the source".
