Re: Virtual Lock on Nimble Storage HF40

Hi

YES, it will be available from 6.1.2.500 onwards

The maximum lock period specifies the upper limit for the length of a lock period. When you set up a protection schedule or manually create a snapshot, you can select any value for that object's lock period as long as it does not exceed the value you specify here.

Selecting None here or for the lock periods for objects such as snapshots prevents the creation of locked snapshots.

Procedure
1. Select Administration > Security > Virtual Lock.
2. From the drop-down list, select the lock period that you want to be the maximum lock period.
The value you select:

  • Must be at least as long as the longest value currently used in any protection schedule.
  • Does not affect the duration of any locks currently in use.

    3. Select Save.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Mahesh.
