HP Smart Update Tools Silent Install through SCCM (System Context)
Hi
I'm trying to automate HPSUT installation on Windows Server by installing it through SCCM to all HP servers in my environment. The SCCM part is not the issue though. HPSUT seems to comprise of 3 MSIs. The HP Restful MSI, the HPSUT MSI and an HP iLO driver MSI.
If HPSUT is installed by invoking cpxxxxx.exe /silent or the extracted contents' hpsutinstaller.exe through SCCM, which will install with Local System privileges, the HPSUT MSI will not show up in Programs and Features. It will be in the registry and will have been installed but won't show up in this list. This seems to have to do with the ALLUSERS parameter, because if you try the same with the extracted conents' HPSUT MSI and add ALLUSERS=1, it will show up.
Not a particularly big issue, but I was wondering if someone had a workaround or if I one has to wait until a fix serendipitously emerges.
