Hi.
I realized that we haven't updated our oneview appliance for a very long time and decided to look in to the latest versions. We use Microsoft System center Operations manager as a monitoring product and integrate that with our Oneview appliance with the Scom Integration kit.
The lastest versions i can find is Oneview 6.2 and HPE Oneview for System center 10.0. The release notes for 10.0 only seem to mention support for HPE Oneview 6.0. Am i limited to 6.0 or can I use 6.2? if i'm limited i'm guessing i need to wait for a newer version of HPE Oneview for system center?
Also we are on Oneview 4.10.05-0388839 at the moment so i'm guessing it would be easier just to deploy a new appliance and then remove servers from the older appliance and add them to the new appliance. I seem to recall there was mandatory upgrade paths involved in upgrading. We only use the Oneview for Monitoring so there are not many settings to transfer manualy.
We have only Gen9 and gen10 servers in the onview as the older stuff already either been decomissioned or wasn't compatible with Oneview from the start. Are there any Firmware prerequisite for gen9 and gen10 monitoring in the newer HPE onview versions? for example a ILO firmware level they have to have to be monitored.
Regards

SolutionFrom the OneView for System Center perspective - yes, 10.0 supports OneView 6.2.
We are in the process of updating our support matrix and putting it out on the web to make it easier to keep up to date., but you are fine with the OV4SC 10.0 kit for SCOM and OneView 6.2 (OV4SC 10.0 supports OneView 5.0 - 6.2)
