Hello,

Basically you should be an Administrator or Observer to connect to the vCenter.

Cheers...

@Bylla

According to the HPE OneView for VMware vCenter User Guide, the minimum privileges required for the vCenter user account used by OneView are as follows:

  1. Datastore.AllocateSpace
  2. Datastore.Browse
  3. Datastore.FileManagement
  4. Datastore.LowLevelFileOperations
  5. Host.Config.Network
  6. Host.Config.Storage
  7. Host.Inventory.Create
  8. Host.Inventory.Delete
  9. Host.Inventory.Edit
  10. Host.Inventory.Inventory
  11. Resource.AssignVMToPool
  12. VirtualMachine.Config.AddNewDisk
  13. VirtualMachine.Config.AddRemoveDevice
  14. VirtualMachine.Config.AdvancedConfig
  15. VirtualMachine.Config.Annotation
  16. VirtualMachine.Config.CPUCount
  17. VirtualMachine.Config.EditDevice
  18. VirtualMachine.Config.Memory
  19. VirtualMachine.Config.Resource
  20. VirtualMachine.Interact.ConsoleInteract
  21. VirtualMachine.Interact.DeviceConnection
  22. VirtualMachine.Interact.PowerOff
  23. VirtualMachine.Interact.PowerOn
  24. VirtualMachine.Interact.Reset
  25. VirtualMachine.Interact.Suspend
  26. VirtualMachine.Inventory.Create
  27. VirtualMachine.Inventory.Delete
  28. VirtualMachine.Inventory.Edit
  29. VirtualMachine.Inventory.Register
  30. VirtualMachine.Provisioning.Clone

You can assign these privileges to a custom role or use the built-in Virtual Machine User role in vCenter. However, keep in mind that the specific permissions required may vary depending on your environment and use case.

I hope this helps! Please do let me know if this helps......
