HPE Synergy Composer firmware upgrade
Hi,
I manage a Synergy 12000 frame and the Composer firmware is pretty old (6.30). I want to upgrade it to version 10 following the upgrade path described here . The problem is that the upgrade is not working as intended, I cannot upgrade directly from 6.3 to 7.0, I managed to upgrade it gradually to 6.4, 6.5 and 6.60. But nom I'm stuck at 6.60.07 and the upgrade to 7.0 is blocked with the following message:
Issue
The update image HPE_Synergy_Composer2_7.00.00_UPDATE_Z7550-97362.bin is not compatible with the appliance platform and will be deleted.
ResolutionSelect an image that is compatible with the Synergy Composer appliance platform and retry.
The frame has:
- 6 x Synergy 480 Gen10 servers
- 4 x Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 Module
- 2 x Synergy 12Gb SAS Connection Module
- 1 x Synergy D3940 Storage Module
What I'm missing? Is there a way to upgrate it to version 10?

Re: HPE Synergy Composer firmware upgrade
Do you have a Composer2? Or do you have a Composer (1st gen)? You can see this in the OneView 'settings'. The last supported version for Composer (1st gen) is 6.60.xx that has gone end of life. Re: HPE Synergy Composer firmware upgrade
I think you're right, I may have Synergy Composer 1st Gen. In Settings I see only
Model Synergy Composer
Memory 16 GB
Searching on web I see that the model is Composer2 with 64GB of RAM. Thank you
