HPE Synergy OneView configuration of iLO DNS servers

Hi

Is there a mechanism to allow OneView to automatically configure the iLO DNS server entries or must these be configured manually for each compute module?

In my experience the iLO network configuration fails to configure the iLO DNS server IPs regardless of if this is set to be 'managed manually' or included as part of a server profile.

ILO IP settings are not managed via the Server Profile. In Synergy, you can configure this in either an IP Pool or Manual Address assignment within the Logical Enclosure. Hi Chris

Many thanks - I do typically use the maual IP address assignment method for the LE but still find that the DNS server fields in iLO remain at 0.0.0.0 and I have to update these manually by connecting into the iLO of each compute module.

Perhaps I'll log a support call next time, as it sounds like OneView should indeed by assigning the DNS server IPs to the iLO config as part of the Logical Enclosure configuration.

Yes, please do open a support case. Using the LE to assign addresses is supposed to work and not required you to go to each iLO to do this.
