Hello,
i have installed OneView 1.20 on three major customer (two Hospital and a Goverment) and can't use it, because no minus signs are permitted in the notifier mail Address.
Example: firstname.lastname@barmherzige-regensburg.de
This renember me to "Insight Remote Support" 7.0.
It take 1 Year to fixt it.
Besides, they do not understand why not their ML Rack servers aren't supportet.

Solved! Go to Solution.

Yes, problems with IRS and HP SIM:

Perhaps it's because the new IT prefers blades? So that was the first step?

Hello, and welcome to the HP OneView Community forum.

I was able to successfully add the example you provided to a few of my 1.20 appliances. I was also able to add some.user@domain-hyphen.com without issue. As you sure the issue you had was with the email address? Can you provide a screenshot of the error when trying to add an Alert Email Filter?

Unfortunatley, not all HP Server platforms are supported with HP OneView today. We do listen to all customer feedback, which helps to go towards prioritizing the feature backlog for future releases.

SolutionExcept that is not the recipients email for smtp alerting. That email address is strictly for user account contact info. When you configure SMTP settings, you specify the recipient email address(es) and the alert filter the email will be generated for.
However, I will let the product team know of this defect to fix.
