ONEVIEW 5.00.01 find what blade is logged into what uplink port

I am using OneView v 5.00.01 and have a C7000 with Gen9 blades.  I have 3 uplinks per interconnect going to fabric switches.  Monitoring the fabric switch I see that one port on each interconnect is at 60% utilization while the others are at 5-10%.

In OneView I can look at the LIG and see my uplinks are distributied evenly so I want to dig deeper to find out why this one port is so high.

Is there a way to see what WWNs are logged into what uplink port so I can see why this one uplink is so high?

I do have a support case open but they did not know and said they would have to get back to me.

Thanks in Advance for you help

Re: ONEVIEW 5.00.01 find what blade is logged into what uplink port

Hi

From OneView GUI it’s not possible to get details about HBA WWPNs logged into switch through VC uplink port.

However from OneView GUI mode you can capture VC uplink port WWPN.

OneView Outputpng.jpg

And form Onboard Administrator web console or Onboard Administrator SHOWALL report you can capture Server HBA WWPN.

OA SHOWALL Output:

>SHOW SERVER INFO ALL

Server Blade #1 Information:

          Type: Server Blade

          Manufacturer: HP

          Product Name: ProLiant BL460c Gen9

          Part Number: 813198-B21

System Board Spare Part Number: 843305-001

          Serial Number: XXXXXXXXXX

          UUID: XXXXXX-XXX-XXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXX

          Server Name: XXXXXXX

          Asset Tag:

          ROM Version: I36 03/25/2019

          Boot Mode: UEFI Optimized

          Secure Boot: Disabled

          FLB Adapter 1: HP FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 650FLB Adapter

           Ethernet FlexNIC (NIC 0) LOM1:1-a    XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

           Ethernet FlexNIC LOM1:1-b            XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

           Ethernet FlexNIC LOM1:1-c            XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

           Ethernet FlexNIC (NIC 1) LOM1:2-a    XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

           Ethernet FlexNIC LOM1:2-b            XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

           Ethernet FlexNIC LOM1:2-c            XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Mezzanine 1: HP QMH2672 16Gb FC HBA for BladeSystem c-Class

             Port 1: 10:00:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

             Port 2: 10:00: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX

Later you can check in SAN switch under VC uplink port WWPN which HBA WWPN are logged into the switch. In SAN switch blade server HBA WWPN reflect as NPIV ports.

Please refer SAN switch output for your reference.

@vROCK can you please tell us what Virtual Connect modules you are using for FC fabric connectivity?
