Oneview across Firewalls

Looking for some input....i have OneView 3.0 sitting behind a firewall and i'm trying to update firmware on blades on the other side of the firewall on a different subnet. I have applied all the firewall rules as recommended in the HPE OneView 3.0 userguide to no avail. OneView is able to view and communicate with the hardware, just not apply firmware updates. has anyone encountered this?

Is there any reason that OneView would not work across VLAN's?

Re: Oneview across Firewalls

In order for OneView do successfully deliver firmware, the iLO virtual media port and HTTPS are required. Is there a reason for firewalls between the management appliance and the iLO's?

Re: Oneview across Firewalls

Hi Chris,

We have the firewall as part of a segmentation strategy for a subset of hardware including OneView. As such, I have a requirement to traverse the firewall for the bulk of my hardware upgrades.
