Re: OneView Alert Mails - Filtering out Multiple Conditions
Hi @ChrisLynch Sorry to necro this thread, mate. I have the same issue as the last poster with filtering this alert: alertTypeID:server-hardware.opStatus.ris.sendtestevent.failure You said that the alertTypeID must be wrong, but when that is what is shown in the Event Details alertTypeID field. I have this in my advanced filter along with a bunch of other NOT alertTypeID's and they all work, except for this one. I can't upload a screenshot due to company policy, but here is the text from OneView.: Event details
- alertTypeID
server-hardware.opStatus.ris.sendtestevent.failure
- clearPriorEvents
true
- correctiveAction
Follow the steps provided below until this alert has cleared.
• Ensure that both the outbound and inbound TCP port 443 are not blocked by a firewall. Both outbound (HPE OneView to iLO) and inbound (iLO to HPE OneView) ports must be enabled for REST events to be successfully received in HPE OneView.
• Refresh the server hardware after enabling the TCP port 443.
• If refreshing the server hardware did not clear the alert, reset the iLO and then refresh the server hardware again. - errorID

I have this in my filter along with a bunch of non-errors that are successfully filtered, but this one still sends emails. We have two LTS 6.6 appliances for our legacy C7000 enclosures and the gen 8 and 9 (yes, we still have some) servers trigger this alert even though they shouldn't, given their iLOs are incapable of doing REST commands. Any ideas how I can get this to stop sending emails.
