Synergy Composer 1st gen and 2nd gen upgrade releases

Hey Guys,

I found my-self lost and under the wall while i try to upgrade customers Synergy 12k chassis. There are 2 machines. One on Composer 1st gen and one with 2nd. Compute nodes are all 480 gen 10 baldes.

I try to update:

1st gen from current 5.0 to 6.0 (which i believe is top). Steps i exepect are 5->5.3->5.4->6.0
2nd gen from current 5.5 to 7.1 following the path: 5.5->6.0->6.3->7.0->7.1

The problem is i try to get "...upgrade...bin" packages for composers but can't find them. All i've found are .zip files and lots of them - every release. Tried to use them but appliance asking .bin ones.
I've gone through all links top to bottom from dedicated synergy releases site: https://techhub.hpe.com/eginfolib/synergy/sw_release_info/index.html but no luck.

I managed to find some upgrade.bin's for OneView but i believe Synergy needs dedicated Composer ones while it is rejecting with compatibility error.

I would like to ask You guys to help me hit right files to upgrade appliance.

I must caution you about upgrading something from a couple years ago-- unless the compute modules are all turned off they will not continue working with such a huge jump in infrastructure.  Most impotantly, you cannot to go OneView 6.0 without also first updating the compute module iLOs otherwise you will be stuck!

While Dan did provide links to specific updates, we have these on the HPE MyEnterpriseSoftware portal.  As you are an HPE Partner, you can use the HPE Partner login in the lower left side of the page.  Once logged in, you can search for "Synergy" in the Software section of Search.  There you will find the various Synergy releases to download.  Look for HPE Synergy Software Archive in order to download prior versions if there are number of updates to apply.

In case of huge upgrade jump i am aware of tons of compatibility tables between Composers, internal infrastructure and compute nodes.

If i understand correctly if i will manage to have all components on right firmware levels i will be able to make another jumps with no shutdowns or i am wrong? (Only shutdowns i expect are the ones while upgrading compute nodes with another SSP).

Please advice.

Chris I've tried to make such searches using "Synergy" keyword times and times again with no success while i was looking for "Composer........upgrade.bin". For version 6 to current its ok, packages are there but for archive ones i was only able to find .zip files with new, clean installation.

Are you logging in as a customer or HPE Partner?  If customer, you need to have an appropriate SAID associated with your account. 

Otherwise, the HPE Partner link should allow you to search for Synergy when clicking on the Search button down the page:
