Synergy12000_Gen10+_newprofile

Hello!
I have a Synergy12000 with 6 servers 480gen10
I bought 4 new servers 480gen10+
I created a new profile, but this profile was applied only to one server out of 4.
iLo reset, turned the server on and off/
I attached the errors.
Can you tell me how to fix it?

Hi @pgball ,
Are you able to apply the profile to only one particular server or any of only one server in 4 new servers ?
If you are able to assign profile to a particular server, then please validate the other server's hardware and firmwares.
Regards,

Re: Synergy12000_Gen10+_newprofile

Hello!
Thanks for your reply!
The software versions are the same on all servers.
4 servers were purchased in one order

Should the SPP be installed before or after the profile?

upd: deleted the server template on which everything was applied, it was no longer applied to the server.
I changed the BIOS settings in the template, it didn’t help.

Re: Synergy12000_Gen10+_newprofile

It is going to be very difficult to diagnose exactly why you are seeing thiese effects due to what I observe from your screentshots to be an extremely out of date Synergy environment  Your Oneview version 6.2 is from mid-late 2021 and any SSP firmware bundles supported by that version reached End of Support a long time ago.  Depending on whether you have Composer1 or Composer2's in your environment, that means your Oneview version is likely double-digit revisions out of date from current version.  I am not sure how much meaningful assistance you will get here or via support given the age of the Oneview release and firmware versions on your Synergy shared infrastructure and compute modules.

It is possible to bring everything up to newer versions which will possibly resolve this issue outright, or certainly make it easier to troubleshoot, but you have a long road of upgrades ahead with many intermediary steps - you cannot simply go from your very old versions to the newest versions, you will need to follow an upgrade path with multiple Oneview upgrades. At each step along the way you will need to run the Oneview Readiness Checker (OVRC) before upgrading Oneview, back up Oneview, update all shared infrastructure (VirtualConnects, Frame, Link Modules, etc) and Compute Module component firmware to the versions contained in an SSP that is the latest supported release for that version of OneView, then run the OVRC and upgrade OneView again to the newest version that still supports the firmware revs on the SSP you just applied, then upgrade all shared infra and hosts using the latest SSP that is supported by that version of Oneview, then continue that lockstep process multiple times to get to latest  (or any currently-supported) versons.

I would start by mapping out the appropriate upgrade path using the charts here:  support.hpe.com/docs/display/public/synergy-sw-release/EOS_Upgrade_Paths.html and here:  support.hpe.com/docs/display/public/synergy-sw-release/Upgrade_Table.html  - then make note of the oldest and newest supported SSP for each version of Oneview in the upgrade path you have identified, using these two links as your guide:  HPE Synergy Management Appliances and SSPs Historical View and support.hpe.com/docs/display/public/synergy-sw-release/index.html?doc=/eginfolib/synergy/sw_release_info/index.html  - then map out a schedule of Oneview, Shared Infrastructure, and Compute Module upgrades to move throgh the progression you laid out.

Re: Synergy12000_Gen10+_newprofile

To add to what Patrick said above; it is not supported to have a mix of random firmware on the compute modules.  Please plan a target baseline and how to get there; get all the modules, including those storage adapters, to the same version and with a supported version of OneView.  Then you can re-test.

Re: Synergy12000_Gen10+_newprofile

Thanks for the answers.
I have composer version 1

I removed the Local Storage section from the template

I created raid 1 manually

The template was applied correctly
