I am trying to upload the latest 8.2 firmware (HPE_OneView_8.20.00_update_Z7550-97527.bin) to our VMware hosted appliance (8.10.00-0472141) and I am logged in as the local Administrator account. When I try, it runs for about 30 seconds and then fails with this error:
Issue: The update image HPE_OneView_8.20.00_update_Z7550-97527.bin is not compatible with the appliance platform and will be deleted.
I have never had issues uploading/patching BIN files before. For some reason, it thinks this BIN file is not compatible with our appliance. I am assuming this BIN file is for VMware, but I guess I dont know for sure..
I have tried several times - same results each time. I have tried re-downloading the file from HPE, thinking it may have been corrupted - same result with new download.
Any suggestions.
Thanks
NK

This 8.2 update file still seems to be unavailable for download.

Where are you trying to download it from? It is published and available to download. I just did this from an external client successfully. The destination page for Synergy Composer updates is located here.

Re: Unable to upload 8.2 BIN file to 8.1 appliance
Possibly my link is stale.
Definitely looking for the update for the OneView appliance (not the Synergy update).
Any chance of a link to the fresh update?

That page is just the product info page in the My Enterprise Software portal. To download the content, you need to go here on the same portal.
To get there:
- Log into the My Enterprise Software portal
- Click on Software on the left nagivation panel
- In the search field in the middle of that page, change to Product Family and select HPE OneView from the dropdown list.
- In the list, you want the row that shows Free Software as the Category and HPE OneView as the Product Name.

All good via that guidance.
Cheers...
