Re: Alletra Block Storage MP peer port
Hi Chang Che-Lun,
The ports in Node 0 slot 5 and Node 1 slot 5 are configured as Peer ports. Peer ports are configured with IP and used to migrate the data from one storage to another.
Peer Motion is a software that enables Storage Federation and is the first non-disruptive, do-it-yourself data migration and load balancing tool for enterprise storage.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Satish

Re: Alletra Block Storage MP peer port
Hi Satish
So it is a internal port or virtual port, not really a physical port ?

Re: Alletra Block Storage MP peer port
Hi Chang Che-Lun,
It is a physical port on the HPE Alletra Storage MP controller.

Satish

Re: Alletra Block Storage MP peer port
I'm not sure that this is correct.
Your Picture shows Management, iLO, and Serial Port and not these Peer Ports IPs.
These are internally used Ports, nothing to configure here and nothing to see.

Re: Alletra Block Storage MP peer port
In Alletra MP every Node (Controller) has an internal NIC used for communication between the Nodes.
This should be this Slot 5 Port.
I will correct my first answer.
