How to check latency on the Alletra 9000 series from the command line
Hi
Is there a way to output latency information for a currently running Alletra 9000 series system?
If so, what command should I use?
Regards.

Re: How to check latency on the Alletra 9000 series from the command line
Hello,
Yes, you can check latency on an HPE Alletra 9000 using the command-line interface. The most direct command is statvv, which provides real-time performance statistics, including I/O operations and latency, for your Virtual Volumes. For historical data, you can use the histvv command, which allows you to specify a time range to review past performance metrics.

Re: How to check latency on the Alletra 9000 series from the command line
Hi Jamie309Perez
Thank you for your response.
I ran the statvv command, but which value is the latency? It output IOPS, KB/s, Svt ms, and IOSz KB. Does the Svt ms value represent latency?
Regards,

Re: How to check latency on the Alletra 9000 series from the command line
Hi @Ramesh_Kumar_P,
Thank you for your answer.
I understand that service time is latency.
One more thing I'd like to confirm: What is the difference between the service time values output by the statvv and statvlun commands?
Since statvlun outputs service time for each port, is it correct to understand that this is the communication latency of the FC/iSCSI protocol?
Regards.
