Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but I couldn't find the Alletra MP forum.
So I'm setting up a new Alletra MP dHCI for PCBE, which is composed of 3 nodes, the 2 switches and the alletra.
The 3 hosts came with ESXi preinstalled as well as the Data Services Connector VM on each one.
So I started one of this DSC VM and performed the on-prem setup just fine and it gave me the activation code.
So now I go to GreenLake PCBE section to setup the system, but it fails at 36% of the process,
it verifies just fine the DNS, the vCenter connectivity as well as vsphere cluster name and also it checks fine the Server Validations.
But it fails at the "Verify Data IP addresses" complaining that the VMNIC is in use. Wich is obviously being used by the very same DSC VM.
So I'm stuck at this point and not really sure how to proceed, as per my understanding, the DSC Virtual machine should stay on the node.
Any ideas how to work this out?

Re: HPE Alletra MP dHCI PCBE configuration issue
The DSC does stay on the node and after the system is deployed, gets moved to one of the default reserved volumes so it can safely navigate the hosts in case of an HA event.
Not 100% sure where "36%" is in the grander scheme of things, but if you can find the task and look at the logs, or screenshot the deployment wizard, it should tell you "where" it is stuck.
That said, a VMNIC in use might mean that you have your nics cabled improperly. What model hosts do you have?
The "Data NIC" would not be in use by the DSC. It would/should be using the MGMT NIC. Only one NIC should be configured on a new system. 1 vSwitch, 1 VM Network and 1 VMKernel Port.
