price for TB in one Storage Primera

hello guys, i need your help to get an idea how can i calculate the  price of 1T usable in a storage, i have the total price of storage, but how can i calculate the price of 1T usable from the total price of Storage? any method to find it?

Hi Francisco,

Interesting questions which can have different calulations based on what you take into account. At its simpliest way you could divide the purchase price by allocated capacity in TB (which is usable capacity in SSMC > Systems > Capacity) and you get an estimate of what you've paid per TB.

This is of course not always the real estimation because to keep that 1 TB "running" there are some extra costs which might come along: 
1) Datacenter lease / rent
2) Electricity
3) SAN or IP infrastructure (in full if dedicated for your storage arrays)
4) Support contracts with your providers (HPE for storage, any other for your network)
5) Admin & Support engineers

If you question is only for primary storage on a Primera/3PAR array than the example above should cover most of your needs. However, if this is intended for billing purposes, you might also want to include disaster recovery scenario's (replicated storage), dedup & compression which reduces "the pain", or secondary storage for backup purposes.

Hope this gives you an idea of price estimation.
