Primera A630 ISCSI settings
Hello,
(1) After executing the controliscsiport command from the CLI and checking with the showport -iscsi command, it appears that no settings are entered.
Is it by Specifications that the settings are not displayed?
PrimeraOS is 4.5.15.
-Command executed
controliscsiport addr 10.11.12.12 255.255.255.0 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:1
controliscsiport addr 10.11.12.13 255.255.255.0 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:2
controliscsiport addr 10.11.12.14 255.255.255.0 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:1
controliscsiport addr 10.11.12.15 255.255.255.0 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:2
controliscsiport gw 10.11.12.254 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:1
controliscsiport gw 10.11.12.254 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:2
controliscsiport gw 10.11.12.254 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:1
controliscsiport gw 10.11.12.254 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:2
controliscsiport mtu 9000 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:1
controliscsiport mtu 9000 -vlan 777 -f 0:3:2
controliscsiport mtu 9000 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:1
controliscsiport mtu 9000 -vlan 777 -f 1:3:2
-Check after executing the above command
It looks like there are no settings configured.
cli% showport -iscsi

(2) After(1). When I checked the setting status of each port on Primera UI, the configured IP/MASK/GW/MTU was not reflected.
* Not reflected = IP address/subnet/gateway are blank, MTU is default 1500
Is it by Specifications that the content executed with the CLI is not reflected in the GUI?
(3) After(2). I entered the settings in Primera UI and saved them.
When I ran the command showport -iscsi again, I got the following result.
cli% showport -iscsivlans
N:S:P VLAN IPAddr Netmask/PrefixLen Gateway MTU TPGT STGT iSNS_Addr iSNS_Port
0:3:1 - 10.11.12.12 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 31 31 0.0.0.0 3205
0:3:1 777 10.11.12.12 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 1024 1024 0.0.0.0 3205
0:3:2 - 10.11.12.13 255.255.255.0 10.11.12..254 9000 32 32 0.0.0.0 3205
0:3:2 777 10.11.12.13 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 1025 1025 0.0.0.0 3205
1:3:1 - 10.11.12.14 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 131 131 0.0.0.0 3205
1:3:1 777 10.11.12.14 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 1026 1026 0.0.0.0 3205
1:3:2 - 10.11.12.15 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 132 132 0.0.0.0 3205
1:3:2 777 10.11.12.15 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 1027 1027 0.0.0.0 3205
Looking at the above results, it seems that the command settings executed in (1) have been reflected.
I only want to configure the following settings, but I cannot configure VLAN settings using Primera UI.
Port IP MASK GW MTU VLAN
-----------------------------------------------------------
0:3:1 10.11.12.12 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 777
0:3:2 10.11.12.13 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 777
1:3:1 10.11.12.14 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 777
1:3:2 10.11.12.15 255.255.255.0 10.11.12.254 9000 777
Since VLAN settings cannot be made using Primera UI, is it correct to perform ISCSI settings from the CLI?
In that case, as described above, is it the intended behavior that the setting does not appear to be included in the Primera UI or command output?

Re: Primera A630 ISCSI settings
Hi Haku1,
1. It is not an issue to use cli to configure instead of UI. Some of the port parameters are not editable using UI. The editable port parameters are listed in the UI user guide Document - HPE Primera 600: UI 1.4 User Guide | HPE Support
2. The settings should be reflected in UI. Document - HPE Primera 600: UI 1.4 User Guide | HPE Support lists the number of parameters list in UI and I could see all the ones missing (like MTU, GW etc.) are listed there. So if they are not working in UI, I suggest you to use another browser or clear cache to open UI. And still issue, please contact support.

Veeyaarvi
