Primera host written space not showing rigth
Good day
Does anyone perhaps know why a Primera array will show a volumes host written space as 100% and when you go check on the OS level it does not corespond to what the Primera GUI is showing?
I am seeing this on 3 volumes and these volumes are in its own application group.
Thanks

Re: Primera host written space not showing rigth
Hi CRD,
It could be an issue from the host side.
Could you please check if any patch updates are pending on the OS level.
If there are no such updates, please I would recommend you get in touch with the HPE Support team for troubleshooting.
Hope this helps.!
Regards
Anil

Re: Primera host written space not showing rigth
Hello @CRD,
That is not a problem. Technically Host written is the 'The amount of space on the storage system that would have been used for host writes if data reduction (deduplication and compression) had not been applied'.
Host written capacity is not something to be concerned about. It can go beyond 100% as well. Thats a not a problem either. It means that Primera's data reduction features saved you 66% of the space from host writes.
