4314T StorageWorks Enclosure
A customer has a Proliant 1600 with a SA3200 Controller attached to a 4314T Enclosure. The enclosure has one Power Supply, Single Port I/O Module, and recently added 11 18.2GB to the existing 3 9.1GB hard drives.
Whenever a drive is put in slot 11...the amber light comes up. Tried known good drives...its amber. So, the backplane was changed. This backplane is also where the Power Supplies, I/O Module and EMU plugs into, and believe it or not, any drive plugged into slot still 11 comes up amber. Used SmartStart 5.4 and it picks up everything else except the drive in that particular slot.
They're running SCO Unix btw, and the firmware version on the SA3200 is 4.44. I'm thinking the EMU...but that better solve it, cause they're pretty upset that it hasnt been cleared up as yet.
Thanks guys

Keep at it.....they'll release a patch for it soon enough
