corrupting filesystem

Hi I have added an additional server our existing fibre hub and created two new arrays, one raid 5 and one raid 0. The filesystems on the new arrays keep getting corrupted and these messages are often logged in the Windows event log:

1) The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqfcalm1, did not respond within the timeout period. 2) An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\DR4 during a paging operation.

2)
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\DR4 during a paging operation.

Can someone advise please?

Re: corrupting filesystem

I have similar error The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqfcalm1, did not respond within the timeout period. I have 2*DL380, 1*RA4100, 2*Fiber Switch, 2* fiber channel host adapter per server.

RE:An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk4\DR4 during a paging operation
This problem is sorted since I disconnected the fibre cable from the hub and plugged it back again to another port. No more corruptions since then.

RE:The device, \Device\Scsi\cpqfcalm1, did not respond within the timeout period
Thisone keeps coming but does not cause any harm.

Re: corrupting filesystem

Wher is your paging file....is it on your c: drive?

Re: corrupting filesystem

The same error (An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operation) has occured on a system running W2k connected via SAN-switch 8-EL to a MA8000 subsystem. Has anyone discovered the actual reason for this error message? Best regards, Einar Rike

Re: corrupting filesystem

I gather you have either diabled access paths to these new arrays from the existing servers, or added higher LUNS?
Is everything Cacheing OK?
