RA4000 set-up using 3rd party HBAs
Can't find a forum for this specific product so I'll throw it out here:
I've been trying (no luck) to set up a new RA4000 using a new Proliant 3000 and a new Emulex LP7000 adapter. All versions of the Compaq Drive Array Cofiguration Utility (ACU) I have tried fail with the general message to the effect the array controller is not found. This is despite the fact that the WinNT SCSI tree shows the controller connected to the LP7000 and even shows the firmware revision level! Are the controllers/ACUs tied strictly to Compaq only HBAs? Will the latest model Compaq 64/66 (Rebranded Emulex) version work?

Re: RA4000 set-up using 3rd party HBAs
The ACU will not run with non-Compaq controllers , it is intended for use only with Compaq Smart 2 Array or newer Array Controllers .

Re: RA4000 set-up using 3rd party HBAs
Hello
I've configured a RA4100 using with a Unisys Servers using Emulex LP7000 adapter.
I add the driver CPQFCAC.SYS and this start correctly.
However I could not execute the Configuration Manager yet.
What drivers are necessary so that the SO.. see the arrangement logically?
