SMA memory problem

I have on my windows 2003 storage server 6 GB physical memory, I only see in windows 3.50 , how come? I installed the service release 6.40 and the problem remained.

ok but now m having my services stop without any notice and I have read that it needs a patch from microsoft and I been searching for this patch but with no success. after reading the file you sent, i understand that i should change the /pae to be able to use my 6 GB memory right?

Hi,

Yes you need to use the /pae switch go above 4GB. You should also make sure your server is running the latest BIOS.

Depending on your version of 2003, you might not see more than 4GB.

Standard Edition will only go up to 4GB
Enterprise Edition will go above 4GB
I'm not sure about Storage Server...

I will update to the latest bios then use the /pae to do that.

Hi,

I have read that /pae will minimize the performance, what about that?
I have 6 GB in my server but i am only using 4 GB shouldn't I change that to be able to use the 6 GB. what do you think ?
