Smart 2SL firmware update failed
I attempted to perform an offline update of the Smartarray 2SL controller to the latest version, which is 4.50. The rompaq reported that the firmware update failed. When I rebooted the server, the controller BIOS no longer appeared and the Windows 2000 driver would not load, although "Compaq array" still shows up in device manager. The IBM PCI-PCI bridge and a generic "mass storage controller" are detected on the Proliant 800, but the rompaq diskette will no longer recognize the controller. How do I recover from this?
