Using iLo on an SMAIII

Good Afternoon All,

It appears that our SMAIII appliance has died. I've got no access to it through the network or the serial port. In trying to figure out what's happenning, I'm thinking about using iLo. Problem is, I've never used it. How would I connect to it from a laptop; telnet, web broswer, cross-over cable, serial to network cable, etc...?

Don't know how to find out what to connect to on the other side either; mac address, default ip, etc...?

Any help would be appreciated.

Ilo is usualy contacted via webbrowser (http) you should have a sticker on your proliant wiht the "ILO Default Settings" this include the Server Serial Number, the User Name, The password, and the DNS Name.
You can put the dns name as address in you http browser to reach it
