Arbiter Installation
Dears,
we have deployed two simplivity nodes in a VMware cluster. the arbiter is currently deployed within th simplivity cluster on a windows server VM.
we also have in our site a seperate physical server hosting NetBackup solution.
we are thinking of installing the arbiter on the Netbackup server.
does the netbackup affect the arbite rin anyway ?
regards,

Re: Arbiter Installation
Going by the change you are querying about, then you probably know, running the Arbiter within the same cluster is not supported and highly critical if there is an outage. Basically, the most important element of a 2 node cluster is the Aribiter and its quorum requirements.
Running the Arbiter with Netbackup may not be an issue, once there are no performance issues in relation to resources and bandwith/latency during peak times i.e. when netbackup is in use.
