Best Practices for HPE Simplivity RapidDR Failover/Failback
Hi Mates,
i wish to know that, is Vcenter of Source and Recovery Site must be available during the disater, to run any of the SimplVity RapiDR functionalities
if Yes then pls help with the hpe documnet link
if No then pls let usk know the possible cause of RDR failover execution failoure , pls refer the below details for environments
We have Site -A, B, C having 4node cluster on each site , Site-A, B, C are in same SVT federation , all the site have its own vcenter, all the vcenter are configured in enhance link mode , from any vcenter console we able to see the details for all the 3 vcenter related to site A, B, C, We are able to create backup policy where we can see the datastore with respect to site A, B, C
We have demonstrated the successfull failover/failback Test as well Execution to customer while we have all the vCenter availibility , but not able to execute the failover/failback in case unavailibilty of source vCneter where as Failover Test has susscessfully completed in same situation.
we need a document reference about :- why the test failover getting successfull during source vCenter unabaility but fail to execute the failover execution.
SVT OVC version- 5.0.0
VMWare Vsphere version- 8.0
Vcenter version- 8.0
Rapid DR Version -3.6.0
Rapid DR is i stalled on Windows Server 2022
VMWare Power CLI version -13.2.1
