Does HPE Simplivity compatible with Veritas Backup EXEC 20.x? Any reference doc?

My customer needs to archive the VMs to tape.

Hi Natthaphol,

Sorry for the delay in answering here. Indeed, we do support Backup Exec. As the solution interacts with VMware directly, i.e. top down, it will work just fine.

Indeed, the same is true of any solution. Any that work with VMware directly, will treat SVT as a standard ESXi and at this layer, we do not place any constraints on solutions.

Just to add to my comment 'we do support Backup Exec'; just for clarity, that should read 'Backup Exec is supported on SimpliVity'. It's a subtle distinction, but just to be aware that the relationship with Backup Exec is owned by Veritas. :-)
