Re: How to split 2 cluster from federation
Hi Hisham
To separate two HPE SimpliVity clusters that are in linked mode with VMware vCenter, you would need to perform the following steps:
1. Disconnect the vCenter Server from the first cluster:
• Log in to vCenter Server as an administrator.
• Navigate to the Home view.
• Right-click the vCenter server that is connected to the first cluster and select Disconnect.
2. Remove the vCenter Server from the first cluster:
• Log in to the first cluster as an administrator.
• Navigate to the vCenter Servers view.
• Right-click the vCenter server and select Remove vCenter Server.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the second cluster.
4. Install a standalone vCenter Server for each cluster:
• Log in to each cluster as an administrator.
• Navigate to the vCenter Servers view.
• Right-click and select New vCenter Server.
• Follow the prompts to install and configure the vCenter Server.
5. Add each cluster as a standalone vCenter Server:
• Log in to each vCenter Server as an administrator.
• Navigate to the Home view.
• Right-click and select Add vCenter.
• Follow the prompts to add the cluster as a standalone vCenter Server.
After completing these steps, each cluster will have its own standalone vCenter Server and will no longer be linked.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh
