Is configuring the HPE SimpliVity HCI with 2 nodes without SAN Switch or Aruba Switch possible? Third-party network switches already exist.

SolutionHi @KZaw
I think yes, it is possible. SAN switch is not used in HPE SimpliVity.
HPE SimpliVity nodes can be physically connected in 2 ways:
1. Direct-connected network configuration - This configuration uses the 10 GbE connections for the HPE OmniStack Storage and Federation networks. Redundant 1 GbE connections to 1 GbE switches provide the Management network.
2. Switch-connected network configuration - This configuration uses redundant connections to 10 GbE switches for the HPE OmniStack Storage and Federation networks. It uses redundant 1 GbE connections to 1 GbE switches for the Management network.
If third-party network switches are used, they should meet the required specifications. They must support the necessary network speeds and configurations for HPE SimpliVity, including proper connectivity for OVC and the management, storage, and federation networks.
