Dear all,
I’m planning to upgrade the memory on my HPE SimpliVity 325 Gen10 (Part No: R2Z06A) and would appreciate some advice.
Currently, the server is running with 8 DIMMs of P19043-B21 (HPE 32GB (1 x 32GB) Dual Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-21-21-21 Registered Smart Memory Kit). I’m considering adding another 8 DIMMs of P19045-B21 (HPE 64GB (1 x 64GB) Dual Rank x4 DDR4-2933 CAS-21-21-21 Registered Smart Memory Kit).
My questions are:
1. Can I install the P19045-B21 DIMMs alongside the existing P19043-B21 DIMMs?
2. Will the system operate stably if these two memory types are mixed?
3. What Best way about install memory to DIIMMs ?
Any confirmation or experience sharing would be greatly appreciated before I go ahead and purchase the additional memory.
Thank you.

SolutionHi Aunkungs,
Good day.
As per the Server configuration, that should not be a problem and you can go ahead and have the DIMMs installed on the DL 325 Gen 10 server.
Here is an article on how one can proceed with having it installed on the DL 325 Gen10 Server:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00056757en_us&docLocale=en_US
For further in-depth information, you can refer to this population of slots in the server:
https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a00038346enw?jumpid=in_lit-psnow-red
Page 4 onwards.
Let us know if this answers your query as it would be really helpful for others too when you mark it as "Useful"
Regards.
