I am trying to run the commands svt-federation-show and realize my arbiters are alive but they are not connected. While trying to run the command svt-arbiter-address-set --address arbiter_IP_address --datacenter datacenter_name --cluster cluster_name. But how do I know what are my arbiter ip address? I only know my Management IP, Federation IP and Storage IP.

SolutionHi ChongYanYan,
Launch the OVC putty session and run the below command to know the arbiter server IP address:
svt-federation-show -o xml | grep -i arbiteraddress
The command which you are running i.e., svt-arbiter-address-set is for changing the arbiter IP address. In that case follow the KB article https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=sv6869en_us&docLocale=en_US.

Re: HPE SimpliVity Arbiter IP Address
Hi Divya6,
Thank you for the command, it worked and managed to return the arbiter ip address to me. On top of this command, I would also like to share that we can also run the command my svt-federation-show -o xml | grep -i "arbiter" to identify the ip address of the arbiter. Thank for your help, appreciate it.

Re: HPE SimpliVity Arbiter IP Address
Can we configure multiple IP addresses on the Windows server where the arbiter is running. For example NIC1 is connected to availability zone A (site1) via a switched connection. NIC2 is connected to availability zone B (site2) via a switches connection. E.G. NIC1 gets IP 10.1.1.201/24 and NIC2 gets IP10.1.1.202/24 The OVC s in both zones are living in subnet 10.1.1.0/24 and can communicate between zones over an ISL. Quorum NIC1 can reach out for OVCs in zone A, Quorum NIC2 can reach out for OVCs in zone B.
So the question is > is this scenario for the windows host supported for the SimpliVity Arbiter service ?
