Re: HPE Simplivity Rremote Cluster
Hi AlperSelimgil
Hope you are doing well.!!
Assuming that the two clusters are in a single Federation, it is all about the backup policy.
Add a rule in the policy to perform a remote backup and select the other cluster as the target.
Once the policy is updated, it will add remote backups as part of the standard activity of the policy.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh.

Re: HPE Simplivity Rremote Cluster
Hi AlperSelimgil
The best practice to join nodes from diff clusters is to redeploy them.
Please find the below steps which will help you in deploying the SimpliVity nodes.
1. If you are deploying the node in an existing cluster. Then the existing SimpliVity nodes must be healthy.
2. Check the model of the SimpliVity node if it can be deployed in an existing cluster because if the SimpliVity nodes you are trying to deploy are of different models then you may not be able to deploy them in the same cluster. You may have to create a new cluster and deploy it. Please refer to Page No. 17 (HPE OmniStack Host Interoperability Within and Across Clusters) in the below interoperability guide link:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00038559en_us
3. Ensure that the factory reset image is not corrupted
4. Boot the server to Intelligent Provisioning and select Smart Storage Administrator
5. Select the rear RAID controller mostly E208i
6. Click on "Configure".
7. Click on "Set Bootable Volume"
8. Ensure that the correct primary boot volume is selected
9. Save and restart the server
9. Ensure that the date and time in iLO and in the BIOS are set to UTC(Greenwich Meridian Time)
10. Ensure the BIOS settings are set correctly. Please check the below documents link:
SimpliVity DL380 Gen10:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=sf000046208en_us
SimpliVity DL380 Gen9:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=sf000044502en_us
11. Ensure all the network ports are opened. Please refer Page No. 23 to 26 (Ports required for HPE OmniStack hosts) in the below document link:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00080603en_us
12. Ensure that the windows firewall and anti-virus are turned off on the windows machine where you are running the Deployment Manager
13. Please read all the information/instructions provided in the below document before performing the deployment:
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docLocale=en_US&docId=a00080603en_us
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh
