Re: New ESXi 8.0u3e & 7.0U3v bundles & Firmware
After upgrading the firmware, the system gives in ILO an error message related to storage. An alarm is also displayed in VMware on the host stating that there is an issue with the hardware.
This error occurs after starting the Simplivity OVS. I suspect there is an issue with the HPE Smart Array P816i firmware, version 7.43 and the OmniStack Accelerator card.
Kind regards,
Hendrik

Re: New ESXi 8.0u3e & 7.0U3v bundles & Firmware
In my configuration exactly the same thing. After a good 24 hours and a restart of the ILO, the message disappeared. After this I ran it on a 2nd machine and it gave the same result. First an error and after 24 hours the problem was solved.
I contacted HPE support about this and they indicated that possibly the battery cache on the controller could be the problem.
