Hi,
We noticed that two of our OVC servers were shutdown. I am wondering how can I see when and why they might have shutdown. Is there a specific log I can look at?
Thanks you!

SolutionHi TDW1
Yes, there are several logs you can check to determine when and why the HPE SimpliVity OVC servers were shutdown.
SimpliVity Events Log - This log captures information on events and errors that occur on the HPE SimpliVity OVC servers. To access the SimpliVity Events Log, log in to the HPE SimpliVity GUI and navigate to the Events tab. You can filter the events by severity and time to identify when the servers were shutdown.
ESXi Host Logs - The HPE SimpliVity OVC runs on top of VMware vSphere, so you can check the ESXi host logs for any clues on the shutdown. You can access the ESXi host logs via the VMware vSphere Web Client or by connecting to the ESXi host using SSH.
Windows Event Viewer - If the HPE SimpliVity OVC servers are running on Windows, you can check the Windows Event Viewer for any logs related to the shutdown. Look for any events that occurred around the time the servers were shut down.
HPE Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) logs - HPE SimpliVity OVC servers typically include an iLO management module. You can check the iLO logs for any events or errors that occurred around the time the servers were shutdown.
By checking these logs, you should be able to identify when and why the HPE SimpliVity OVC servers were shutdown.
Hope this helps.!!
Regards
Mahesh
