Present datastore over management interface
Hello guys,
i was wondering if the possibility to present a SimpliVity datastore over the management IP isn´t possible anymore. This was very handy for migrations from older ESXi hosts.
Now, when i try to mount a simplivity datastore to an ESXi that has no connection to the simplivity storage network, iget the error that the NFS server is not reachable. When i use dsv-nfsd-connection-show i can only see that there is a NFS server with the IP of the storage network.
Is it possible to present the NFS datastore over the Management Ip like time ago (only for migration) and how can i achief this.
Best regards,
Nick

Re: Present datastore over management interface
Hi,
Starting with OmniStack 4.1.1, NFS share over Management Network was blocked.
The good news is that you can temporarily enable NFS share over Management Network however you will need to log a support case for the same. It requires running a few scripts which are not publically available to enable the NFS share temporarily for tasks like workload migrations such as yours.
Please go ahead and a log a case. The entire process of sharing won't take more than 5 minutes.
