As I learned by a advisory Letter (https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00123432en_us) it is no longer possible to share the datastore out of a simplivity cluster to any host that is not part of the SimpliVity cluster for migration purpose over the mgmt network.
As this is blocked now by internal hardening.
unfortunately we have a huge amount of simplivities that are deployed in either 2 node cluster with direct connected storagenetwork or new deployments in new networkenvironment. Therefore there is often no connection possible to the simplivity storage network.
I already opened a case to HPe for opening the communication again, but support is not aware of this and it took me hours to find the advisory. So maybe this entry helps to get around that.
As a request it would be nice to implement this as a featured command (svt or dsv..) to enable and disable.
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionProblem solved.
There is a solution to manually change the blocked connections.
Support responded finally to the case and sent me the commands (or if you are not aware of the usage have a remotesession and they could use the famous "Zeus" script...
The procedure then works as before. The settings are not persistent and don't survive a OVC reboot.

@BJST Would you share the commands you used to change the blocked connections?
