Simplivity DL380 Gen10 Error trying to 'createDatastores' Unable to connect to NFS server

Re: Error trying to 'createDatastores' Unable to connect to NFS server

Hi. Iam experiencing an issue witha single node Simplivity 380 G10 running OmniCube Version 4.1.3. Deployment completes successfully but Create Datastore fails with " NFS mount omni.cube.io:1321c2aa-f98a-4307-827d-c7c6673d2623 failed: Unable to connect to NFS server" error.

Anyone who had the same issue and successfully resolved it, please let us know the fix.

Hi Pavan_BCX,

It is possible that there might be a network issue in the storage network. Usually the most common ones are not having Jumbo Frames enabled or MTU being lower than 9000 on the switch and for the VLAN config.

You can take a ssh session to the OVC and run "svt-network-test" and check if the output shows failed for any of the network tests and take action accordingly.
Although I'd recommend opening a support case as this might require further investigation.

Re: Simplivity DL380 Gen10 Error trying to 'createDatastores' Unable to connect to NFS ser

Hi @Pavan_BCX

The possible causes for this can be one of the following:
1. Network connectivity issues (ping, firewall, DNS)
2. SimpliVity node configuration errors
3. The Subnet used for the storage network may also cause this issue
4. NFS server configuration may be incorrect

Here are some steps that may help you to resolve the issue:

1. You may double check the configuration and redeploy it.
2. Verify network connectivity between SimpliVity and server.
3. Check NFS server configuration
4. Review SimpliVity NFS mount options and network settings.

To investigate further and resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to HPE SimpliVity support.

Hope this helps.
