SimpliVity Upgrade Manager v4.1.0.312 Failed
Hello, good morning
I have a problem when I try to upgrade SimpliVity through SimpliVity Upgrade Manager and I get the following message "This cluster is unavailable for an upgrade to the current version as it is already prepared to upgrade to a higher version" causing that I can not continue with the upgrade.
I am currently using SimpliVity Upgrade Manager v4.1.0.312. However, I previously used v4.2.0.103 to perform the upgrade and now that I have reviewed the procedure I must first perform a jump which is using the OmniStack 4.1.0 firmware.
So once I made the change it started to show me such error, is there any way to fix it or attack it to solve this problem and be able to perform the upgrade?

Re: SimpliVity Upgrade Manager v4.1.0.312 Failed
Hi there!!
If you started with the 4.2.0 upgrade manager, you may have put the OVC's in upgrade mode. If you ssh into the OVC and run svt-software-update-status (not behind a console at the moment so that might not be the exact command), you should get the status. Post it.
There should be a command to cancel the upgrade as well. At this point it is probably best to engage HPE Support or contact your service provider, and/or continue here. It does look like you need to upgrade to 4.1.0 first and ESXi 6.7. Upgrading a SimpliVity environment is not a very straight forward task and usually involves checking the interoperability guide and jumping to various versions based on your bios/firmware version vs. you ESXi version vs. your Omnistack version.
