SVT 380 G10 G IOPS
Hi everyone,
We are currently running a SimpliVity 380 Gen10 G solution with 2 nodes, each configured with 6 x 1.92TB SATA SSDs (P18426-B21), and we're facing performance challenges with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) application.
Using CloudPhysics, we've observed that the system is only reaching peaks of about 24,000 IOPS, whereas the WMS application requires approximately 90,000 IOPS to function optimally. This gap is affecting performance, and we’re trying to determine the source of the limitation.
I’d like to ask:
- Is there a method to accurately calculate the current IOPS capacity of this configuration, considering SimpliVity’s architecture and deduplication/compression?
- Could the issue stem from disks, RAID overhead, or hardware acceleration?
- Should we be looking at a disk expansion or a node scale-out to meet our application’s needs?
Any insights or recommended tools/commands to assess storage performance at the node or cluster level would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Re: SVT 380 G10 G IOPS
Via the OVC one can complete the foillowing command to retrieve IOPs information:
dsv-stats-show --all
or
dsv-stats-show --iops
For Hive specific counters one would need the Hive GUID
dsv-stats-show --source
I will investigate for more information to help further, thank you for your queury and allowing time for research/investigation.
