AJ821B 5480 firmware
Looking at a previous download of v742h firmware which is installed on my switches; downloading a new version v742j and unzipping it. There are less SWBD directories in the J (jay) version than the H version. Could this be the reason why the firmwaredownload command on the switch is failing? Is there a guide somewhere that explains the various SWBD directories?

Re: AJ821B 5480 firmware
I'm told SWBD72 is the directory that matches the 5480 switch.

Re: AJ821B 5480 firmware
Hello RabbitTrax,
FOS v7.4.2j release of FOS is available for entitled equipment download in Platform Specific Download (PSD) form. FOS PSD releases provide a smaller version of the FOS image that can only be loaded on a single hardware platform, consisting of a single switch model or group of switch models. These FOS PSD images enable much faster download and file transfer times since they are between 65-90% smaller in size than traditional full FOS images.
Unlike traditional FOS release images that can be installed on any supported Brocade switch and director, FOS PSD images must be downloaded separately for each platform that the FOS release will be used on. The full list of unique FOS PSD images available for this release and the models that each PSD image supports is given in the release notes of the specifc FOS version.
FOS v7.4.2h is not a PSD release.

Re: AJ821B 5480 firmware
Hi,
Do you still have v7.4.2j in your possession? If yes, please send me the ftp link to download this firmware file, I have been looking all over the internet and couldn't find one.
Thanks.

Re: AJ821B 5480 firmware
Hi @ibrahimtech
To access HPE B-series Fabric OS v7.4.2j firmware, release notes, configuration files and MIB files:
Go to the Hpe support center website, enter your switch name or version details (Aj821b 5480 or v7.4.2j) in the search box, you can view the list of models and versions, select the model or FOS version.
Right to the screen In the content type click on drivers and software option select the firmware, click on obtain software .which takes you to the Broadcom/brocade web page to complete the download process.
- Note: An active warranty or support agreement must be linked to your HPE Support Center profile to access HPE B-series switch firmware.
Hope this help!
Regards
Srujan

Re: AJ821B 5480 firmware
Good day @srujan_kumar
Unfortunately, my switch is out of warranty, and that is why I am begging anyone including you, who has the file to drop me the cloud drive link or FTP server address so I can download it.
Regards,
